You can file this posting under, “Be careful what you wish for.” It seems that Phillip Contos, 55, didn’t want New York state telling him that he MUST wear a helmet while riding his motorcycle. And so Mr. Contos was openly defying the law by riding sans helmetĀ during a protest ride in upstate Onondaga. You guessed it – he crashed, flipped over his handlebars, struck his bare head on the pavement, and died.
